DAC Compensation / Audio Equalization

Hello @Ivan

Have you had any luck with adjusting the DAC Compensation registers on the LM49450 to add some equalization to the audio output. For example, add more bass to the sound output, etc.

The datasheet appears to say that the DAC Compensation registers are coded for a 5 band FIR filter to apply some EQ, but it does not explain the frequency bands or how to apply it or anything of that matter at all.

The other option I guess is to manipulate the audio buffer data in real time, though that may be processor intensive.

No, I haven’t done any work related to EQ, and based on this answer from the chip manufacturer, I believe no one will.

I saw that too. I played around with the registers that they indicate to manipulate and I could not tell of any difference. I suspect it is something that was never completed by them.
