Hi all,

I have a question regarding AK-USB-RS485-FD – USB to RS485/422 converter. My question is why the maximum baud rate of this convertor is specified 250 kbps while both used FDI and transceiver chip in this convertor can support several Mbps? Is this because of PCB layout and high-speed signals?

Thank you. You are correct. There is an error in the product page.

The speed should be:

  • 3Mbps for the AK-USB-RS485-FD
  • 2.5Mbps for the AK-USB-RS485-HD
